Contracts Manager (High and Low-Rise)
To provide leadership and direction on all projects managed both high and low rise, ensuring
adherence to company standards and policies.
• Drive operations and budget through effective leadership, organisational planning, customer
service, and consistent execution of strategies across all locations.
• Provide leadership and direction, including conducting annual performance reviews and
quarterly 1:1 review through company systems.
• Ensure the timely ordering of materials for each project.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers.
• Arrange and conduct all pre-start meetings.
• Coordinate and supervise all activities of specialist and subcontracted trades and disciplines
on site.
• Ensure all operations are performed effectively and efficiently in accordance with the
company’s construction program.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, properly, and thoroughly, adhering to health and safety
legislation, MGME policies, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of
self, staff, and visitors.
• Implement and maintain QA systems established by the Quality Management team.
• Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and report on progress, ensuring
remedial action is taken within agreed timelines.
• Present detailed written reports on overall project progression to clients and contractors as
required.
• Represent the company at meetings, promote the correct company image, and ensure staff
are aware of their responsibilities.
• Ensure all work methods meet project needs.
• Ensure the master program and schedule of deliverables meet the requirements of the brief
and client expectations.
• Monitor all RFIs, damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
• Familiarize yourself with Procore and its facets.
• Maintain a relationship with the logistics and procurement team.
• Develop clear, detailed, and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives.
• Understand and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance consistently
across locations.
• Manage the delivery of 3-4 projects concurrently.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing can be
advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing high and/or low-rise construction
projects
• Experience in mechanical contracting, including planning, executing, and overseeing
mechanical services on large-scale projects
• Proficiency in project management software, such as Procore
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality assurance systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, suppliers, and
subcontractors
• Ability to handle unexpected issues and make decisions under pressure
• Experience in risk assessment and implementing remedial actions
• Full clean driving license.
• Willingness to travel between project sites as needed
